Charmed Marathon

A great Sunday spent with my fiancé and the Charmed Ones. Well not in reality but on the boob tube. One of the perks I enjoy having a fiancé working with an internet company is being able to watch TV series that I love even before local tv stations gets to air them. Aahh.. The power of the internet in your fingertips.

Anyway, I watched 6 episodes of the 7th season of Charmed. That’s from 1pm – 6pm (non-stop). I really missed these ladies so much. So many things have changed but they are still my beloved Halliwell sistahs. Alyssa is sporting a new do. Her very short hair from last season is now curly and chin-length. Her character Phoebe is on the look out for the father of her future child and still waiting for her powers to comeback. Holly Marie is a little chubby after giving birth to her child (real one)- but its ok since her character Pipper just gave birth to baby Chris in the 1st episode of the 7th season. Rose is funnier as ever and her character Paige is taking on a new responsibility in the Magic School and a new love interest (again!)

Aside from the regular series stars Alyssa Milano (Phoebe), Rose McGowan(Paige) and Holly Marie Combs (Pipper), along with Brian Krause (Leo) and Dorian Gregory (Lt. Darryl), there are a lot of new guest stars in the series.

Former "Dawson's Creek" co-star Kerr Smith plays a recurring role as federal agent Brody. His character is a member of a government group that investigates supernatural events. The character is a believer, a la "The X-Files'" Mulder, and also become a love interest for Paige.

The Seer (guest star Charisma Carpenter of "Angel"), which also have the power of premonition and will eventually be the Charmed Ones’ ally against fighting demons.

Leslie "Les" St. Claire (guest star Nick Lachey, Newlyweds) as a ghostwriter who fills in for the advise column of Phoebe during her sabbatical and ends up falling in love with her.

Some additional spoilers:

Piper does her best to help Leo deal with his grief and find his way again, all the while struggling to balance raising two young children and managing her nightclub, P3.

Lt. Darryl Morris is still on the side of the sisters after what happened last season.

The Charmed Ones greatest ordeal will be when the New Power takes place which every Elder, Witches and Demons alike are anticipating.

Drew Fuller is confirmed to return to the show for 1 episode.

Paige is running Magic School after the death of the School’s Headmaster, Gideon.

Phoebe got her active power back (premonition)

TV Guide interview with Alyssa Milano:

We're all contracted for eight years. But I think we all feel like we want to go out on top. So if our ratings are as strong as they are this year, we'll probably go for an eighth season. And if it starts to slip, we'd all decide to end after the seventh season. It's a tricky thing to know when the right time to end a show is.

Annipadda named Player of the week

ANNIPADDA

Yes, my fiance's character, Annipadda is this week's player of the week in NetGam's KHAN - the Absolute Power.

You might have read in my previous blogs that this extra-curricular activity of his has brought not so good things in our relationship such as not having our regular talk on the phone before bedtime, the usual dinner date is cut short because he needs to go home to play. I just felt unimportant since this game came to his life. And the attention that suppose to be mine was shifted to game. I'm a drama queen alright, but the bottom line is that we fight for only one reason..KHAN.

I couldn't take this anymore, so after our second fight over this online game, we made a pact that he will only play until 11pm in the evenings so we can still talk on the phone before sleeping or else, he'll always be the one to pay for our dinner / movie date.

And I'm glad that its is now working for us.. he has time to do his thing and I get to cuddle on the phone with him before dozing off.

And I'm also happy and proud that he's the player of the week... but wait! and that's not all, as the player of the week he gets a computer speaker as his price. And he's giving it to me :)

Next time, I hope he'll get the web cam :) hehehehe!

Blogging your Novel

Visited the dashboard and a Blogger News caught my attention. It asked a question “Would you be interested in Blogging Your Novel along with us?”

Hummm… what the hell is this? So I read the article and November is actually the National Novel Writing Month and this NaNoWriMo actually chooses winner/s at the end of the month who have written 50,000 words. They’ll be giving you a chance to publish your work in their site and they also will give you a certificate for your achievement. Previous participants actually have gotten their work published by well known publishers like Pinnacle Books and Time Warner Books.. Kwel huh!

And guess what? I’m not a writer but what the heck… I like to explore on this since I’m already in to reading novels, why not try writing my own? I’ve actually registered to nanowrimo and I have made my nanowrimo blog entitled Pieces of Me.

rejuvenating, hearty and nice

After the 2 weeks hiatus from any gym activities, I’m now back! Attended Yoga today since I really need to get rid of all the stress in my body. Pio (our yoga instructor) ask us to do 4 sets of the Sun Salutation. It was very rejuvenating after performing those asanas. He even turn off the air-con so we’ll get sweaty and all. After yoga, went to do some cardio and did my program.

Then I met up with my fiancé and hand a hearty lunch at Kenny Rogers (Roast Chicken and Baby Back Ribs… yummy) and we went to watch White Chicks. It was a very funny movie (what else should we expect from the Wayan’s Bros.)

It was so nice to have this weekend date with my fiancé since for these past few weeks I’m really pissed about this game that he plays from morning till wee hours of the morning the next day. And completely forgets about me when he’s playing. My mom says, it’s better than playing around with another girl. Yeah, I know but I’m a fiancée who have needs you know..

Anyway, after watching the movie, we went to hear mass at the shrine and went home.

Ahh.. its Monday again..

HTSVR OD S NOYVJ!

HTSVR TIOMRF ,U ERRLRMF! DJR OD S VRTOGORF NOYVJ!

Halloween Party

Yesterday, went to the office earlier than my usual schedule since I need to get some stuff ready before I leave for a client call/ presentation with Abs around 9:30am. Arrived back in the office just in time for lunch. Maya, Winnie and I went to Chef de Angelo to order some takeouts. After lunch, my posse helped me look around the mall for may costume for the Halloween party tonight. Due to a tight budget, I just got myself a black Witch Hat with silver trimmings of stars and moons. Finished my get-up with a wand (its actually just chopsticks:D).

Back in the office, I wore the hat around the office since I won’t be using the hat when the party’s over, so might as well wear it now, right? At around 7 pm, we’re off to Grilla in Libis (where Tiara, the party coordinator extraordinaire, reserved a space for the event).

Our company is very much into cost cutting and saving on OPEX that they actually squeezed 4 occasions in 1 party. (1) Monthly Communication Meeting (2) 5 years Anniversary of the company (3) Company Milestones (4) and Halloween Party. Whew! talking about hitting lots of bird with 1 stone.

The party was fun (minus the usual boring comm. meeting). Baet was in her usual self.. funny, noisy, funny, dancing around, cracking jokes and did I say she's funny? And I can't help laughing everytime Tinette's Skeletor mask lights up while she dance. Can you imagine He-man's enemy dancing while his face lights up like a chirstmas tree? Anyway, Rose won the best in costume (female) posing as “Ang white lady sa Libis” with matching make-up. And Kimchi (male) for wearing ..god knows what! But it was actually Ethan’s costume (Fritz’s nephew). Food was good except for those grilled stuffed squids.

Afterwards, we went to Eastwood City to continue the night’s party. After walking around and deciding which club to hangout, we ended up or I should say ended below at The Basement.

Got home around 2 p.m.

Will be sharing some photos here as soon as they are downloaded from the digicams.

Dan Brown: suspense & adventures

At long last I'm done reading Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. I think this book is overly publicized and criticized that's why its in the New York Time's #1 Best Sellers list. Though the media frenzy was part of this book's success, no doubt that Dan Brown is an amazing writer. He knows how to make the twist and turns in every page to make you glued to it. And since the places in his novels are non-fiction, it seems like you're also traveling with his characters.

But for me, Angels and Demons was way more exciting to read than the Da Vinci Code. I'm now starting with my 3rd Dan Brown novel which is actually his first novel publish in 1998, Digital Fortress. Maya enjoyed this book and I hope I will do too.

Midnight Sale and 2 Thumbs Up for Ladder 49

The midnight sale is on! me and my shoppaholic friends will never pass on this opportunity to get ourselves some new clothes. After lunch we already hit the stores (ahhh! the benefits of holding an office inside a mall) At first, I didn't see any blouse/tops that interest me but then kim suddenly saw the same kind of top that she's going to buy with my size and handed it to me.. it fits perfectly and maya got the same style too but in pink (mine is blue) and so we're on our way to the next shop.. its was almost 2pm and we need to go back to work.

and so we are back in our cubicle, looking busy again.

After work, Maya, me and Fritz went to watch Ladder 49 starring John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix. I'll give this film a TWO THUMBS UP!It's such a touching movie and I can't help but let my tears fall especially when Jack Morrison (played by Joaquin Phoenix) and Lenny Richter (played by Robert Patrick) was given a medal of honor by the the same girl that they saved on Christmas Eve. And I was sobbing when Linda Morrison(played by Jacinda Barrett) saw the red car parked outside their house.

A touching story of heroism. Kudos to all firemen who put their own lives in danger to save the lives of others.

After the movie, we went our separate ways but the calling of shopping haunts me as I walk past the different shops.. so I told myself to just look around. But as I stepped out of the mall today, I was holding 2 paper bags with 4 tops in it. but i'm not sorry.. I'm Happy :)

bashing, meetings and a cup of coffee

another day filled with bashing of our managers, finding ways to make others think that I'm busy with work and meeting after meeting after meeting. I think our meeting on hvp packages was the most productive task I've done today. Probably because the meeting was held at starbucks .. I guess caffeine really pumps up my nerve and the creative juice in me. of course a visit to starbucks will not be complete without a steaming tall caramel latte. Such a great relief to go out of the office...I'm feel suffocated every time I see our manager. I think that's a very good indicator that I need to look for a new job huh?!

We actually started the meeting with.. yup u guess it right, more bashing. If only our words are as sharp as knives, "MAX" would be dead...long time ago.

anyway, thank god its friday tomorrow and since its payday... major malls in the metropolis are holding a 3 day midnight sale. I'll be swiping my Visa and Mastercard again :(

Movie Review: Wimbledon

Wimbledon. That's the movie my fiance and I watched earlier this
evening. We were actually undecided whether to watch this movie or
Shark Tale. But since Wimbledon was vouched by Adrian's training
instructor from Sun Microsys and we wanted to watch a feel good movie
so we then decided to watch this movie.

And to my surprise, I enjoyed it a lot. Probably its just the tennis
fan or the tennis player wannabe in me that enjoyed the movie but what
the heck, I love the bloody movie (oopps! sorry got carried away by
those Brits). Anyway, I was so into the game of Peter Colt (href="http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=1804462348&cf=gen&intl=us">Paul
Bettany of A Knight's Tale
) I gasp at every serve, every backhand,
forehand and every ace that he made. I even heard myself say "double
fault" aloud when Jake Hammond's (href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0629538/">Austin Nicols of The Day
After Tomorrow
) served for the set point and the ball bounced onto
the net. Gosh, I've never realized how much I missed watching Agassi's
game on TV.

Now, I need to edit my previous blog on things that I would do if I
won the lottery.. I'll watch all Grand Slam tournaments (Australian
Open, French Open, Wimbledon Championships and US Open).

Paul Bettany as Peter Colt and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Dieter Prohl
(Nikolaj is a certified cutie!)

One of the best tennis players of their time, John McEnroe and Chris
Evert as themselves and were the tournament's commentators.

Kirsten Dunst as Lizzie Bradbury at the foul line.

Paul Bettany and Austin Nicols on their way to the center court of All
England Lawn Tennis Club.

Size XM

It’s alive again ... the shoppaholic in me is alive and kicking me to the stores once more. I blame Oprah’s makeover episode last night at Studio 23. Now, I’m itching to get a new set of pants.. not 1 not 2 but 3.

I found this low rise slacks in one of the specialty stores but unfortunately, they don’t have my size. So my friend Baet and I went into another store.. they’re on sale! The pants fit but it does not look good on me.. I look like a sausage with hands and legs.. so scrap it! Then we move to the next store and I just realized that its either I need to spend more time in the gym or these stores should make a new size.. XM (extra medium).. because medium is too tight and large is too loose.. so I’m a size XM.

finally.. we reached BAYO and I saw this light grey slacks in medium size and I took it off the rack and went to the fitting room. And WALAH! it fits perfectly. Not too tight not too loose.. it was just a perfect fit. And the color is great too.

And so I took out my VISA card and swipe it! Now I'm relax and happy and no longer frustrated.. after 3 stores .. I found the one! And now I need 2 more in black and khaki. Wish me luck! :)

contemplating...

contemplating on the rapidly closing year, as the breeze becomes cooler and cooler every single day. I’m turning 27 soon.

anticipating my wedding so I can begin a new chapter of my life with the man I see myself with when I turn 97.

changing careers or just moving to another company is the primary objective before the end of the year. a change that I openly welcome and apprehensive that it might end up the same way as this company i'm working for now.

thinking positive was a friend’s advise. I'm an optimistic person, though a pessimist in nature (duh?)

winning the lottery would be a big push into this change.. bigger plans, better future. If I win, SO WHAT? what would I do with the money?

(in particular order):

Get Married (no worries about those wedding and honeymoon funds)

Buy a house and lot

Travel (Paris, Venice, New York, London, etc.)

Have my own business (need to start reading those entrep magazines) while getting my MBA

Fund a NGO project /charitable institution (Hey Erwin, I'll sponsor your non-profit org)

We'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the lotto results...

Kilig Moments

During lunch today, me and my girl friends at work decided to share our kilig moments last weekend.. Syempre, Maya had the most fruitful ( ? opps wrong term..but can I say the exact term here?) weekend. The funny thing was that all of our kilig moments happend last weekend.. was there something in the stars or love charts that I don't know about? Was cupid's arrow streaking across the city?

The weird thing was, Kim, Baet, Winnie and my kilig moments was all about the same category...our future - married life (getting married, settling down, having babies etc.) well, maybe except for Maya (she needs to work on her guy). The best kilig moment was Baet's ... but I won't be mentioning it here because that's her private kilig moment...

Anyway, my kilig moment happend yesterday when Adrian and I heard mass in Greenbelt. And out of the blue, He said to me " Ang tagal pa noh? 1 year pa." And as I count the months .. exactly 1 year from yesterday is our wedding day.. Sept 3,2005.

Hoping for more kilig moments this week to share with the ladies next monday :)
