I am a sucker for freebies.. but not those kind of freebies that you need to purchase some item to get another item for free. I want pure freebie... out of generosity of another person. And this opportunity came via an unexpected, impulsive generosity of the PR agency of #TEAMPENSHOPPE that i follow on Twitter. I have been following @PublicityAsia ever since they brought Ed Westwick (aka Chuck Bass to Gossip Girl Fans) to the Philippines to do a photoshoot for Penshoppe. I am lucky (and proud) to be one of the original #minons that the Queen had selected.
And so 2 weeks before September 29, the day of the Penshoppe Fan Conference 2012 at MOA The Arena, Joyce of Publicity Asia tweeted that she was feeling generous and will be rewarding her original minions free tickets to the FanCon... and so I grabbed the opportunity and shoot her an email... NO, i wasn't expecting it, I've even forgotten about it until that night of September 25, she tweeted that the Lucky Minions should check their emails...
And so there it is...a message at 11:31 PM saying : " Please send your information to Dianne P****e copied here so that she can reserve 2 UPPER BOX SEAT for you and arrange how to claim ticket. Thank you."
I was like...WOOW!! I can't believe this... who will I take with me?! Of course i ask my hubby to go with me (also be my bodyguard/driver) but of course he declined. So I offered it to my friend, Erben, who btw is not a fan at all... and wanted to watch the DLSU vs Ateneo game that day but of course she chose to join me instead (isn't she the sweetest?) --
And so the day has come. I'm not as giddy as i was when I went to the meet and greet of Ian Somerhalder last May 24,2012.. but i was looking forward to see a Hollywood A-Lister for the first time... Its a chance that I might not experience again so what the heck... i dont give a sh** if the kids around sitting beside me are 20 years my junior. As someone said, I'm Bagets... and I'm okay with being bagets... I'm just a kind of person who takes advantage of the opportunity that is presented to me...and its all for FREE!
Highlights of the FanCon 2012:
1. The UAAP Cheer dance Champions from UP performed before Zac Efron entered the stage
2. JayR performed! (This is actually Erben's highlight of the night!)
3. Zac throws the jacket he was wearing to the audience for his interview started (im sure there were body slamming and hair pulling at this moment)
4. Zac was interviewed by Boy Abunda
5. Zac gave a girl her FiRST Kiss
6. Zac loves Balot
So there.. another bucket list checked: TO SEE A HOLLYWOOD A-LIST ACTOR IN PERSON
