The first week of work after the new year was manageable. Though it was hectic, it was okay since I get to still have the energy (after putting my boy to sleep) to blog and surf the net before going to bed. But the weeks that followed was an entire different story! I even think I fall asleep before AJ did. that was how tired I was. The next thing I knew my alarm is ringing and I drag myself out of bed for another day at work.
New additional work loads and new KPIs has to be met and have some stressful negotiations being undertaken. And the worst part of it all is that I'm 50% behind my monthy target. As I have said in one of my friend's FB status... I just want to SURVIVE! this month and deal with next month later.
But of course I needed some outlet to distress.. like food and friends :) oh yes! During an out of town meeting, my supervisor took me to this place behind the Laguna Technopark in Binan. Its called Nipa Hut (because its literally a nipa hut). The place was simple but the food was so delish that I ate 2 cups of rice (or maybe I'm just hungry cause I didn't had any breakfast?). We ordered 4 rice and 5 vaians. I was so full that I was so sleepy on the way back to Manila.
Friday was Bowling Day! we even had motif.. pink, grey/silver or black..because these are the motif of my friend Liz's wedding. Hubby and Joel join in but after 2 games, my team lost..but its okay. we had fun and the most important thing is.. we didn't think or thought about our work and the things that should have been done...there's still a Monday to deal with it.
Saturday, we were invited to Mik's 2nd Birthday. Of course we were late again but we were in time for the blowing of the candle and Hubby was able to join in one of the adults game. After the party, went for a snack at Via Mare with Hubby's friends. Then headed for the supermarket.
Sunday was a simple quiet time at home and getting ready for another challenging week at the office.
xoxo

PS. my boy has been chosen to be a ring bearer at Trina and Romel's wedding in July :) Now I have to teach him on walking straight without being distracted ..hope we get through it without any problems ... and another on December where he will be a bible bearer for Liz & Ferdie's nuptial... excited for his limelight debut. I'm starting to be a stage mother.

When was the last time you printed a photo?
This was the question running to my mind as I was busy uploading several (more than 500 photos) online. Seems like everything is online now. Banking, shopping, diaries(blogs) etc.. that includes photo albums.
As I recall my last printed photograph was of AJ's 1st birthday party. After that, It was all uploaded in multiply or picasa or facebook. I remember having a flickr account too. AJ is turning 4 this year so it means that I have not printed a single photo in more than 2 years.. (Woow-em-gee!) Its been that long? how in the world are the print shops earn this days? I remember those days of 'film' where I can't wait for the 'film' to be printed so I could see the pictures that were taken. And me and my friend took turns with the negative to print our own copies...staring at the florescent light above just to see which photos you want to print and hoping that its the right one..
Times have really changed..the evolution things.. what seems to work today may no longer be appropriate in the future.
BTW, the more than 500 photos I'm uploading are from several events this past months: Office Christmas Party, my 30ish birthday, Disney on Ice, Kimi and Celine's birthday..see photos here.

Bedazzled by Notebooks
I was waiting for hubby to pick me up from Bonifacio High Street. To
kill time and boredom, I went inside Fully Booked to see if there are
any books that will interest me. And so I can use Abi's chirstmas &
birthday gift to me (a FB gift card worth $$). I picked up a Jodi
Picoult and Nicolas Sparks books that I haven't read yet. But on my way
to the cashier, I was bedazzled by a pocket notebook beside a display
of Moleskine notebooks...they were Dazzle Cover Pocket Notebooks.
They are beautifully designed hard-cover notebooks with bookmark. And it has a magnetic full closure to keep it close. What's fascinating about it is the stunning colors and designs inspired by exotic East Asia. The covers are all beautifully embossed using glitters, metallics and different gildings. Another nice thing about it is its sheets are made of the environmentally conscious Clairefotaine paper has legendary French made paper using wood sourced from managed sustainable forests. According to google, The world famous Clairefontaine paper is exceptionally smooth brushed vellum, 80gsm; the vellum surface’s satin finish prevents bleeding of ink. How cool is that!?
Now I wonder what to write here? shopping list? expenses? I think important stuff should be written here ...since Clairefontaine sheets are the best paper in the world for writing.

writing again
Yes, I am. This is one of my new goals for the year..to write and blog again. I miss it. I have to admit that one way or the other. I'm no good writer, my grammar and spelling sometimes unedited. But what the heck its a free world! I miss the opportunity to share my thoughts, my rants and my everyday life less interesting to others but a joy ride for me. I sometimes get overwhelmed with my responsibilities as a mother and as a working gal that I tend to let it consume me. And almost all the time when I put my son to sleep, when I close my eyes, I no longer wake up till the alarm clock strikes 5am again the next day. the routine is the same all through out the week. That's why I look forward to weekends that breaks this. A longer weekend I welcome with pleasure (who doesn't??!)
So to break this routine, blogging at the end of the day would be nice.. unless I'm not exhausted from meetings after meetings. but enough of the negativity.. focus! be positive!
Looking back, when I started blogging (circa 2004) i have posted 94 blogs + 17 on my wedding blog that same year to think I just started middle of the year (July). In 2005, I was able to write 136 blogs + 35 in the wedding blog. In 2006, slips down to 106 which is primarily posts about my pregnancy & my son..And then in 2007, its started to dwindle slowly..at 49 then 32 in 2008 the worst came in 2009 with 12 posts.
And so when I look at 2010 posts, I already have 3 blogs and this is the 4th one, and to think its only Jan 6 :) That to me is a good sign. Tomorrow will be a new day to blog about. I'm meeting up with some highschool friends who now resides in HK & Australia and are here in the country for a visit. That should be fun! A lot of catching up to do :)
xoxo
P.S. I have have survived the first 2 days of work..but I'm tired and I miss my cubicle.. I was in and out of meetings the whole day..I even ate lunch at 5pm :( huhu! Tomorrow will be another busy day with 4 meetings back to back to back to back.

a family calendar
Last year, I purchased a photo calendar from multiply.com and I'm doing
it again this year. Just another way to put to good use some of our
pictures from the photoshoot at TPC.
I was glad to see more themes to choose from this year. And my choice is the Linen Theme. They also now have captions. Yey! So for this calendar, I googled some interesting quotes on families and kids :) Though my photos were in low res, I'm hoping the calendar will still look nice.
I can't wait for the calendar to be delivered!
xoxo.
