My fiancé is never keen on buying gifts. He always had a hard time thinking what to give because he's not sure if the person will like it or not. And this is so true in our case. I can only think of one (1) occasion that he bought me gift without me being there. It was in Dec 22,2000 when I celebrated my 23rd birthday.
And every year after that, he always asks me what I want and we buy them together. So the excitement of opening gifts and guessing what it its inside the box is already a thing of the past. But the good thing here is that, you don't only get what you need.. you also get what you want.;) But I'm not complaining, (just to keep the records straight), Who says I am?
So what did Adrian gave me for my Birthday and Christmas? a Nike Active Grip Tote (that I’ve been dreaming and wanting to buy ever since I started going to the gym) and a Giordano reversible belt (was not part of the shopping list).
We actually didn’t plan to shop today but when Adrian showed me the belt that he is eyeing to buy, and saw that it cost less than the one he saw at Glorietta, he bought the reversible belt and bought one for me as well. Then, a dry-tech polo shirt caught his attention and bought 2 different colors.
And since Giordano’s store is adjacent to Bratpack (a sports bag specialty store), we decided check if my gym bag is available in their store. And it was! And so I’m all smiles when we headed to the counter.
If only I have ready our Couple's Horoscope for the day, we could have controlled ourselves. The horoscope says:
"A little discipline lets you accomplish your ultimate goals together. Stick to your budget and support each other as a means of avoiding expensive impulses."
