away from home

I’m back from my holiday vacation and I can’t believe it’s coming to an end. Why is it that good things never last? Can we just freeze time and live in this day forever? I think this is one wish that I may never be able to get.

Hay, whatever! Well, as I arrived here in Manila from my holiday trip at my fiancé’s hometown in Nasugbu, I decided to do my report. But it seems like the odds favors my way because my intranet account’s password already expired and so I changed the password and tried to login again, but still to no avail. Until my account was suspended due to exceeding the trial login. Agrrrh! Is this a sign or what? So I end up browsing through (and commenting too!) my friends’ blogs and updating myself on their holiday out-of-town trips.

As for my own holiday O-F-T trip, I spent the New Year at my fiancé’s hometown in Nasugbu, Batangas. It was my first time to celebrate the New Year away from home and my family. But it’s was both happy and sad experience since I get to spend the New Year with my future family-in-laws.

After office hours, Adrian and I left for Nasugbu the night of the 29th to avoid the flocks for commuters in the morning. We left the bus station around 9pm. I’m glad that we were able to get good seats and I was even thrilled when the conductor turned the channel to abs-cbn, just in time for the koreanovela Lovers in Paris. My attempt to convert Adrian to watching this show is slowly making progress. Though after the show, I slept throughout the ride. I just woke up 15 minutes before we alight.

New Year's Eve

What I love being in the province is not just the fresh air, the relaxing mood, Adrian’s relatives but most especially the food :) It’s a must that every time I’m in Nasugbu, we have to stop by Aling Celing’s Halo-Halo and have their delicious special halo-halo with matching barbeque. So before going to Adrian’s Lolo and Lola’s house, we dropped by at Aling Celing’s and ordered 2 special halo-halo and 10 barbeque… yummy! I want a second round but there is still dinner to look forward to :)

learning time for Abigail and me.

New Year celebration was fun. We get to see some awesome fireworks and Dandin lighted some whistle bombs and a fountain to drive away the bad luck. We jumped and shook our pockets with coins for good luck. Oh yes, Adrian and I kissed at the strike of 12 midnight too…hhehhehe!

It's my last new year celebration in singlehood.
