Bad to Fab

I woke up with laziness creeping in my entire body. The sun in a clear sky is peering though my window so I forced myself to get out of bed. Took a shower, pressed my blouse and pants, got dressed and headed to the bus stop. Its 8:30am and I’m still standing here in the waiting shed. This isn’t a good sign. Its beginning to be a bad day. Obviously, I’m 30minutes late. But with a change of luck, just after a few minutes, Rico was handing to me an order form from my client. Yahoo! “May benta ako!”.

The afternoon was even far better. I received a reply from my inquiry at powerbooks’ website last night on the book, Shopaholic and Sister by Sophie Kinsella, the staff wrote that the book is already available at their Greenbelt branch. I can’t wait to get hold of that book. And that’s not all, I received another wonderful message in my email. A response that I’ve been waiting for since yesterday. A well known financial institution is requesting for my cv and wanted to meet to discuss potential employment. Could this be it? Oh God,let this be it. I hope this is it. It really made my day. Excitement filled my entire body and soul. And so to celebrate, I treated myself to a mouth-watering strawberry and crème frap at Starbucks and also to help Kim complete her sticker card so she can claim her planner.

After office, I met up with my fiancé at Glorrietta and went to Powerbooks to buy another addition to my Shopaholic series collection. I also bought Dan Brown’s Deception Point for Adrian. And as I go to the counter and pay for the books, I notice stacks of cute and colorful bookmarks. The shopaholic in me crawls like a thief in my blood stream and into my brain telling me “you need a new bookmark!” I no longer have control on my hands and it started to flip through the different bookmarks. Good thing I got a P500 gift check (b-day gift from my officemates) so I just paid for the remaining P330. Using VISA of course.

And so after my book shopping, we went to subway to buy takeout for dinner and then headed to the cinema to watch Ocean’s 12. Of course we made our usual detour to Taters to get some white cheddar popcorn and iced tea.

It was a great, fantabulous and funny movie, better than Ocean’s 11. Good story, wonderful actors, interesting twists, I had a good laugh too. But I didn't enjoy those scenes where the camera's movement were wobbly. It was making me dizzy. So for that, I’ll give this film a 9.5/10. I hope there’s an Ocean’s 13 …can they actually survive the third one, since that number is know to be bad luck? So in that argument… I think this will be the last time we get to see Danny Ocean and his Gang rip off someone… and this time, of their own league.
