Endings and Goodbyes

In every beginning there is an ending, that is inevitable. People ask, why do good things have to come to an end. Man evolves. We are born as babies; parents wish that we would stay as a baby, innocent and naive. Then it has to end, we need to grow up and be toddlers.. or should I say pain in the ass. But then we have to be an adolescent and end our childish antics. As we grow older, we need to end our carefree lifestyle and become responsible, independent individuals. In life, we face a lot of endings. Some may be senseless, some are devastating, some are appeasing and some are fulfilling. This week has full of endings for me. Endings that made me realize that people can change; an Ending that makes you hate the writer and Endings that will test the bond of friendship. So what am I talking about?

Jennifer Garner as Elektra

I watched Elektra last night with my fiance. And what can I say? I love Jen as Sydney (ALIAS) and I love her as Electra. This a**kickin' femme fetal is absolutely my hero, as a CIA agent/double agent or Marvel comics character, she really is the best person to play these roles. I just wish that the fight scenes were a little bit longer (I just can't have enough if it, I guess). They have a good storyline but i feel that there's something missing and I just don't know what it is. I'm disappointed that it has to end, they could have made it more longer than an hour and a half. Or maybe that's just the FAN in me that's talking, but nevertheless "SOBRANG BITIN AKO"! The ending was very inspiring, the conversation with Elektra and his Teacher. In the end, people can change. We may be astray at one point or another but will always find the way and our true calling, if we have a pure heart.

Park Shin-yang & Kim Jung-eun
Another ending was the Koreanovela that hit the PH shore by storm: Lovers in Paris. The End finally went on air last night. Due to the rampant DVD/VCD piracy in the country, a lot of people have already seen the ending of this TV series even before local network, ABS-CBN released it. The final episode was not what they have expected it to be. Thus, people who were able to see it in advance were disappointed by the original ending (Filipinos loves happily ever after kind of ending). The network realized that their ratings for the finale will surely go downhill because of the ending being rumored to be not a happy one. There were speculation (others say its confirmed) that ABS-CBN changed the original ending of the story to a more desirable ending... not really a happy ending for the two lead characters (that's my opinion) but better than the original. Well, I have to see first the original ending so I can confirm if they changed it or not. (I'll be watching it this weekend). Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching this series. I cried, laugh and laugh while crying at the same time. I wished their story would never end but I guess that's quite impossible. P.S. I love a guy who can wear a pink colored shirt and still look so manly. Looks good on you Park Shin-yang :)

L-R: Kim, Maya, Shiena & Baet
Maya is on her way to her exit interview, as she said "wish me luck", it struck me. This is it and no turning back. She'll never turn back. I don't know what to reply. Do I need to? I came to know Maya when she was hired for a sales position in this company, which was almost 3 years ago. And I have grown to know (and love) this naive, smart, moody, sensitive, generous, kind-hearted and caring person (and a walking thesaurus too). I will surely miss her when she moves to her new office. To me, she has been (and will always be) a little sister that I never had, giving her advises on life, love and boys and men :) This office will never be the same without her. At least I have my blogger legacy that she can take along with her. I know its not the end of our friendship... not yet a goodbye, but see you around. Take care, I love you girl!
