It has been said that all the money are in the Sales (Department). If you’re in Sales you get all the nice perks, big commissions, etc because you bring to the office the bacon, the revenue that supports the backbone of the company. Some departments envy them, some don’t get along with them and some just can’t work with them in harmony. Yeah it’s all true, but people notice only the fun and perks not the hard work. Facing clients all day long, hear them complain, face the client’s rage if they are not satisfied, meet your whopping targets month after month. Just as you are excited that the month is nearing its end, you fear for the coming month for your target is higher than this month’s target. And not to mention the forces of management that are out of your control and have to abide by them.
Before, the only thing I look forward to at the end of the year was the trip incentive for all the employees (we’ve been to Hong Kong and Bangkok). But now, though the trip incentive has been shoved off this year (because we are getting bigger by the numbers), it was replaced with something more than a trip to another country can pay for. Let’s just say that I can have a normal delivery or a c-section this June without worrying about the hospital bills.
I am thankful to God that he gave us a new sales manager that we can trust and rely on. A person who looks after his flock and stands by them no matter what. A true manager with people skills… without him we would never have this kind of opportunity… not in a million years! Now I know how it really feels to be in the REAL Sales Department. And in behalf of my colleagues, Thank You Mr. M.
