Bringing someone to life

I have been yearning to write again but with my new bundle of joy.. I just can't seem to find the time. Seems like it was just yesterday when I was only anticipating his arrival.. now, I'm looking at him and he looks back at me, hold his tiny hands and he squeezes it like no other. I'm in heaven everytime he smiles back at me...its such a wonderful feeling. But looking back to the last few hours before giving birth to AJ, no one can say they have experience the ultimate pain unless they experience labor. I admire all mothers in the world, (especially my mom!) for their sacrifices to bring their child to life.

The first few days was like no other... I'm not used to waking up in the middle of the night. Changing diapers, feeding the baby and lulling him to sleep. A drastic change in our sleeping habit must be done. It has been more than a week ( 9 days to be exact) and I'm just glad that Adrian and I are still sane from all of this. But all our sleepless nights are being paid for with every smile and every stare that we get from our little Andre. I just hope that when I get back to work from my maternity leave, his sleeping pattern would already change so that I won't look like a zoombie at work.

But for now, I'm enjoying my time with him. Whenever I breastfed him and he smiles while sucking... its heavenly! I can stare at him all day long and don't get tired of his chubby rosey cheeks, little chinito eyes, small lips and milk smelling breath. I just want to kiss him all day long...
