so near yet so far away

It was another Saturday at the doctor's office. Adrian drove us to the hospital for my weekly pre-natal check up and arrived around 10:45 am. My OB is not yet in so we waited ...which is a usual thing and are so used to it. We are even surprised if she comes in before we arrive...hehehe! Patients are not as many as before... because most of those we see during our scheduled visit already gave birth. We used to arrive in her clinic before 10 am and we are already #6 or 8th in the patients list. Now, even if we are late, we are # 2 even #1 in the patients list. But even so, I think I'll miss my visits here when I finally gave birth.

I'm in my 38th week already and my OB is expecting baby AJ to come out anytime soon... even before my due date. So she requested for another ultrasound to check the baby's Biophysical Profile. It took us about an hour before my name was called. I realized that the baby boom is not just in Hollywood, but even here in our overly populated country. Anyway, I'm glad that the baby is in perfect condition. His fetal tone, movement, breathing and heartbeat are normal, my amniotic fluids are of the right amount, and placenta is in place. Baby AJ weighs approximately 6.8 lbs more or less says my OB. Oh, he's a big boy alright! But I read that baby boys tend to be much heavier than baby girls (need to justify that part so I can still eat my usual cravings... hahahah!).

Today, I already placed baby AJ's clothes and stuff in his new cabinet. Double checked my Philhealth and insurance documents, marriage certificate, my OB's recommendation letter, ATM cards and checkbook and my hospital bag. 12 days.. so near yet so far away..
