the waiting game

I can finally say that I'm just 100% waiting for the imminent arrival of our first born. Yesterday was the first day of my maternity leave. And I'm already feeling the anxiety that this waiting game brings. In two weeks (or earlier) I'll be able to hold my precious in my arms. I'm imagining what he would look like... I definitely want him to look like my husband but with dimples and a fair complexion.

Early this week, baby AJ's crib and cabinet were delivered. I was so excited to see how the knobs that we bought would look like when its attached to the cabinet. It was so nice.. Charlie Brown knobs are in the center drawers while Snoopy and Woodstock are on the side doors. The left side door has a hanger rod for the baby's clothes while the right side door has 3 shelves for organizing of bed sheets, diapers, diaper bags, toys and other stuff that needs safe keeping. While the crib is nice, we did not anticipate that the size would not fit in our bedroom door ( lesson learn: measure the door first before having a furniture made so that it can actually fit to where you want it to be.) So, the playpen shall go in our room and the wooden crib goes down to the living room. Eerk! Did I mention the crib was heavy? and was brought upstairs by 4 men... now how are we suppose to move it back downstairs? Hope we'll figure out something soon...

Anyway, Yesterday, since my hubby did not go to work (they worked overnight last Wednesday), he accompanied me to the post office to get a registered mail. I was hoping it would be from SSS. And I was so glad that it was and enclosed was my new SSS ID, bearing my married name. Yahoo! my first official ID with my new surname... now I can join those contest that need IDs to claim prizes Hahahahah! Afterwards, we headed to SM to buy a mattress for the crib and a bathtub which changes color if the water is too hot for the baby (by First Years). Consider this as my last hurrah of shopping before giving birth. Baby AJ now has everything he needs... I can't wait to give birth... I want to give birth already! But not on June 6. PLEASE!
