planning for a baptism

AJ will be 2 months old this Sunday (maligayang bati, anak!). Sigh, time flies really fast, before I know it we're celebrating his 1st birthday. But before that! Let's get the baptism rolling. I am now busying myself with the planning of his christening. We already got a date, September 16. We really wanted to have his baptism on the day of our 1st Wedding Anniversary (Sept. 3) because my father in law is coming back from LA this August 20. Unfortunately, my brother who's in Singapore was not able to get an earlier flight so we have to move it on the 16th. I guess its also an advantage for us since we'll have ample time to prepare for this celebration. I have already reserved the date and the church, informed all the God Parents and what's left for me to worry about is the venue. Our ever reliable super friend, Ezra (who's also my wedding coordinator) will be sponsoring AJ's give aways and the invitations. She also suggested a venue in the Greenhills area which we'll be visiting this weekend and highly recommended a caterer that is with in the budget. I just hope everything works out well *fingers crossed*.

I was planning to make my own invitations prior to Ezra's sponsorship (with the help of Adobe Photoshop CS2). That I will send via email and print copies to be handed out. But when Misty referred me to evite.com (~ a free online invitation where you can choose a design or make your own and manage your guest list and RSVPs all in one place.~) I was so glad that she told me about this site. Its so cool and easy to use. Choose your design template or create your own and then just indicate your event title, host's name, date, location, some text message and recipient's email address and WHALAH! your done. What's nice is that you can import contacts from your email provider(AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, MSN Messenger even from your Outlook). No more encoding all those addresses. And what I love the most about this site is its hassel free RSVP tracker. The guest just chose to either attend, not to attend or not sure and evite automatically updates the guest list. And sends reminder too to those who have not replied to your invites. This is so 21st century! hehehe and am lovin' it. Well, the only downside of this method of invitation is that you can't invite those guest who do not have an email account and are technophobic.

But over-all I rate this site with 4 STARS (5 being the highest).
