It’s not every day that you come across an idea or an opportunity that you sometimes are pessimistic about. Not because it’s no good for you but you feel it’s not worth your time. But the moment I heard on the radio show of Mo Twister (Magic 89.9 in Manila) about this FREE EDUCATION from TOP UNIVERSITIES in the world (it’s everybody’s dream but can’t afford), I was like… I got to check this one out! And as I have mentioned several times in my other posts… I'm a sucker for FREE Stuff! – except maybe those free food in the supermarket …
Okay so back to free education, the site is called https://www.coursera.org/ and as I browse through, I’m shocked with the list of courses offered by Lecturers from Stanford, Brown, Princeton, Columbia etc.. and I’ve registered to one of the courses, Leading Strategic Innovation in Organizations, it’s an 8 weeks long course which starts in Feb 2013 instructed by David A. Owens from Vanderbilt University.
Familiar but not known to me, I’ve researched and read about Vanderbilt and it made me more excited! I don’t know how it goes… or how will this free online course will take place, I’ll cross the bridge when a I get there. And will keep you posted on my progress. I want to sign up for more courses but I want to see how it goes before I get myself drowned in further education.
For now, feel free to browse through their courses and we might end up classmates online J
Happy Course Hunting…
XOXO,
S
P.S. I’ve sent an invite to my teammates on this and one of them actually heard about this site during a Digital Summit she attended over the weekend J So I believe this is legit!
PS.S. BTW, Mo Twister signed up for Cryptography, facilitated by Dan Boneh of Stanford University. If you want to be classmates with him…you know what to do :-)
