It’s so surreal that I still can’t believe it… even after I saw my Visa Grant (A piece of paper that is too important to lose). Wait, before I continue this post can I just shout at the top of my lungs to get this edge off?
Okay. Done that.
Yes yes yes!! I am going to Sydney in 10 days and will be visiting the Land Down Under for 10 days while my Husband works. Haha! Yes, I didn’t earn my visa on my own. I took the opportunity to ask my hubby to include me in his Visa application for his 3-peat visit in Australia. Though I am confident that my visa app will be approved (because its states in the form that if you are given a Business Visa by Australian Immigration, you can bring your immediate family with you), I still have that pessimistic tendency where I don’t believe it until I see it.
And yesterday morning, after 5 days from lodging our visa application, Hubby received a SMS message that our passports/docs are en route. After lunch, I got a skype message that he got our visas already! I was stoked!! I can’t wait to see it myself. Unfortunately, 1st world countries are also cost cutting. NO more VISA LABEL on our Passports… just a print out in a 8x10 white bond paper which states our names and our VISA GRANT Number and other information…. Now that is a bummer. I really wanted to have a Visa Label on my passport. There’s something about that Label that makes it authentic you know..
But nonetheless, with or without label…. I’m just sooooo excited!! And what makes me more giddy about this impending trip is because its SPRING TIME in AUSTRALIA!!!!! And if you have been lurking around before on my blog… you’ll know that back in March, I posted a blog entitled: Smell of Spring http://shenski.blogspot.com/2012/03/smell-of-spring.html and how i love to experience spring time since we don’t have it here in the Philippines.
And I think that sooner than later was really a premonition… A friend told me once to have a Vision Board of all the things I want. I said I’d do it but I have not brought myself to finish it. What I did was a Vision Password, which I type every single day when I am in the office. SO I guess it works the same way as the Vision Board… because fast forward to a year or so…. My vision will become a reality sooner than later. And just like our family Trip in SG, I can’t wait to do an Australian Scrap Book for you guys....
I’ll leave you a line from one of my favorite movies…You want something, go get it. Period.- Will Smith (The Pursuit of Happyness ,2006)
