Sydney Scrap Book: Day Five

24 October 2012

Has it been 5 days already since I got here? Wow! Talk about how time flies.. today I succumb to the hands of lazyness... I stayed in bed until 10am. I wrote my day 4 blog for like 2 hours (having breakfast in between paragraphs)... Haven't eaten anything for lunch yet, I headed to Birkenhead Point to shop at the outlet stores. I decided to just have my late lunch there.

Sending postcards to friends

Again I missed the right bus stop. I alight at the wrong street... You know, Sometimes google maps lie. Good thing I was in my tsinelas so my feet is in chillax more.. but not my legs and muscles since its a uphill downhill road to Birkenhead Point. Finally reached my destination. I saw some cafes and resto but I was immediately blinded when I saw a cotton on shop that has SALE sign at the display area. My hunger lost, feeling like Becky Bloomwood, I rushed to the 50% off section. I am one happy shopper even if I used my plastic card with a black strip at the back... Charged $60AUD for 10 clothes! I think its a great buy :)

The Birkenhead Outlet Store, seems already deserted at 5:30pm because its already closing time.

With my happy disposition, I head to Queen Victoria Building. Read in the Sydney Tourist Guide that it is the best mall in the state...so I need to take souvenir pictures of this iconic landmark. And indeed its exquisite. I call it a 'Mall fit for a Queen'.... With Carpeted floors, high end shops, there are 2 large clocks hanging from a clear glass roof, stain glass on the windows... And free WiFi :) it was like entering a palace with shops.

Took advantage of the free WiFi, like a true free loader that I am, I tweeted checked in and posted photos of this ahhhmazing mall. Oh btw, I haven't had Lunch and my stomach is crumbling.. so I guess its time to head home and eat those left over pizza in the fridge. When I got home, Hubby bought some take out from the Sushi Bar. Yehey!

Mangoes are rarely available in Sydney, so they use guacamole instead of Mangoes
Left overs of Domino's Pizza and Take home Cali Maki

See you next time.
Xoxo.
