My real vacation starts today. Hubby and Eric left the
apartment a little past 7 in the morning while I still snuggle in bed, with 3
pillows around me and not to mention the soft white comforter, trying to get
more sleep. But I couldn't... First thing I check? My phone, not for text
messages or missed calls but to see what is the weather outside… 16 degrees
wooow!! And it was raining. I was so lazy to get up that I stayed another hour
in bed. Finally, it was time to get some breakfast (my breakfast of champions!
Haha!) The rain, wind and the cold temp was not really helping me get my grove
this day. But eventually the sun shown, and I was on the shower by 12:30pm
(during those uneventful hours between 9am-12 nn, I was writing Day One and Day
Two of my blog).

Okay, so I took the long way walk towards the bus stop. I didn't pass by the roadside, but instead
I took the Coogee Bay Walk to take pictures of Coogee Beach again… it was
serene and quite only a number of people are on the shore. I can actually see
the cream sand instead of people and their half-naked bods (but I am not
complaining). I had the beach to myself, okay shared with at least 10 others…
seagulls are everywhere :-) Noticed how the weather changers so quickly, a few hours ago it was cloudy and raining.. now its all so sunny... Bipolar weather is so familiar to me, just like at home.

When I was at the bus stop, I checked on google maps to get
directions to Central Train Station. I got the bus number that I should take,
but seems like the direction per stop was not working… damn I should have asked
for tutorial from hubby how to use this (it says, get off bus on the next stop
when you reach your destination—cool huh!) So I got on the bus at bahala na si
Batman! I was so focused on the landmarks and the streets that I didn’t get to
enjoy the scenery.. I just want to make sure I am familiar when I trace my way
back home. After about 30 minutes, I saw familiar street and then there’s the
sign Elizabeth Street. Yey !! I’m on the right track.. there it is, I saw the
clock tower of Central Station. Yoohoo!! One transpo down… one to go! And so
while walking towards the station, took some photos that are artsy enough for the Visual Arts
Clubs next theme… I really am glad I joined this club, I learned a few tricks
to take pictures with character and story.

Anyway now onboard the train. I made sure that my auditory
skills are in full concentration so I can understand what the next stop is.
Really hard to understand with the accent you know, mite! But I reached
Circular Quay without hiccup.

Time Check, its 2:30 and I am hungry. The all American
Fastfood Chain Hungry Jacks greeted me as I pass the turnstile. Got myself some
2,380 ++calories of Bacon Delux Burger, Fries and Cola and headed to one of the
benches facing the Sydney Harbour Bridge
and had late lunch under the sun and cool wind blowing around me. Oh and I
didn’t ate alone… a seagull joined me and I was afraid it’ll smack down my
paper bag with fries so I was holding it with dear life. I don’t want to share.
Besides I am not supposed to feed these birds anyway.

With Cumulous clouds hanging over the Bridge and the Opera
House, I was enticed to take another shot of these famous and historical
landmarks of Sydney before I headed to my walking tour inside the Royal
Botanical Garden. It’s a huge Garden, and I wish we had the same thing in
Manila where working people can unwind and release stress and oxygenate our
brains with happy relaxing thoughts. And also make out…haha! Any way.. I was
starting to drizzle so I didn’t get to go around this huge garden. Halfway
through the garden I had to find shelter… ran across the street and saw King
Edward VII.

Walking and walking, pictures after pictures, I headed to the
Rocks. On my way, the rain started to get heavy so I took refuge at the Museum
of Contemporary Art. No entrance fee to enjoy it so why not. By the looks of
this building I know I’ll get a lot of inspiration. And at the end, it’s not
just inspiration but I was actually relaxed after my 2 hours stroll on all 4
levels of the Museum.

By the time I was done at MCA, the rain had stopped and so I
headed to my next walking tour, the Rocks, (this is the land where European
settlers chose to step ashore in 1788) Passed by the Customs House, and some
great architecture that stand time and of course my favorite.. brick walled
buildings. Passed by shops who are now close since its already 5pm. And
everyone else are just rushing to the bus stops and the train because its time
to get home. And that’s my queue to head down back to Central Station to meet
up with Hubby and Eric before going home.

Took a photo of a postal box earlier and since a friend is
asking for a postcard, why not send to the others. I haven’t received post card
in years…so we passed by a NewsAgency and get some postcards and stamps on our
way to the bus stop. Oh and I had chatime milktea too!

So tomorrow’s agenda are Sydney Wild Life and Sydney SeaLife
Aquarium, Lunch with Hubby’s Cousin , Ate Elsa, and then maybe Chinese Garden
of Friendship, Town Hall and Australian National Maritime Museum.
This was once a dream, now I am here. So dream big and if
you want it, go get it.
